King Sturge's Research and Information Centre acts as a central strategic resource for the firm, producing research publications and providing bespoke research consultancy services to clients. The London-based research team works closely with colleagues in the King Sturge network across UK and mainland Europe as well as linking with the worldwide network.
The Research department has a proven track record of undertaking a wide range of studies for private and public sector clients, some of which involved working with other consultants from multi-disciplinary expertise. Examples of recent assignments include:
- Working with the Urban Land Institute of Europe to develop the key principles of the sustainable development involving case study analysis, focus group decisions and a questionnaire survey.
- Undertaking a comparative analysis of office markets to assess the possible impact of redevelopment of York Railway Station on behalf of Network Rail.
- Industrial and warehousing land demand study undertaken jointly with lead consultants Roger Tym & Partners on behalf of the Greater London Authority.
- An assessment of office and logistics demand for a major UK airport, by undertaking a comparative analysis of airports in Brussels, Paris and Frankfurt. An analysis for a leading retail property investor, the impact of out-of-town and in-town retail trends and the likely impact of the sustainable agenda for future demand.

King Sturge has an in-house GIS (Geographical Information System) capable of providing a wide range of functions for target marketing mapping an analysis of 3D maps, thematic maps, complex demographic queries.
