King Sturge is a leading advisor to the university sector in the UK providing a wide range of property services for universities across the UK.

As one of the first property consultancies to be involved in the emerging student sector in the early 1990s we now have the largest specialist student accommodation team in the UK dedicated to providing a full range of consultancy and agency services to a wide variety of clients. In 2008 the King Sturge student accommodation team advised on over £2.5 billion of student accommodation.

We also hold one of the framework agreements from the Office of Government Commerce in the Treasury (OGC) for Estates Professional Services. This means that publicly funded bodies are not obliged to tender for estates professional services as King Sturge has pre-tendered with OGC for such services.

We have a robust track record of successful agency transactions in the student sector. Since 2007 we have acted on the sale of approximately £1 billion of purpose-built student accommodation throughout the UK. In the current difficult economic climate much of our work with universities is focused on the funding of new residences projects, in many cases introducing private sector partners to finance and procure and sometimes to manage the residences.
