King Sturge in shape for further growth in Europe
23 May 2007
King Sturge strengthens its European presence with the creation of an International LLP and the addition to the King Sturge Group of Hettrich Chartered Surveyors, of Berlin, Germany.
As part of the strategy to harmonise its operations in Europe, King Sturge is now trading as a single Partnership throughout the majority of the countries where it has offices. King Sturge had recently opened new offices in Slovakia and Italy and additional offices in Zaragoza (Spain) and Split (Croatia), bringing the total number of its European locations, including those in the UK, to 51.
By creating one single partnership for Europe, King Sturge is moving closer to becoming a truly integrated European firm. The formation of a single European interest is a key phase in creating a platform for growth on the markets of Europe and it will be a catalyst to strengthening its existing operations and launching into new markets.
Richard Fiddes, Managing Partner for Europe said: "Our objective is the creation of a European business in which the partners and staff in both the UK and Continental Europe sit ‘at the same table’ and share in the rewards of an integrated European business moving forward. It is only in this way that we can see the business synergies being created that will enable us to make the most of the potential that clearly exists."
In parallel with the above, King Sturge joins forces with Hettrich Chartered Surveyors, based in Berlin and specializing in Investment and Professional Services. The move will supplement King Sturge's existing presence in Frankfurt in what continues to be an extremely buoyant market.
Chris Ireland, Joint Senior Partner, commented: "We have enjoyed a very successful working relationship with Hettrich Chartered Surveyors over the last two years and have got to know the Berlin team very well. I have no doubt that, as we integrate their business with ours, we will find further opportunities to develop our business in Germany."
