King Sturge wins the Retail/Leisure Agents of the Year – Yorkshire and North East at the first ever Property Week Awards in the region
Property consultant King Sturge has become Retail and Leisure Agent of the Year covering Yorkshire and the North East in the first-ever Property Week Awards in the region.
The Retail and Leisure Team at King Sturge, Leeds, won he award at The Royal Armouries, Leeds on 13th November beating the Yorkshire offices of Jones Lang LaSalle, Pudney Shuttleworth and Savills.
Key instructions enabling King Sturge to secure the award were the letting of the Paul Smith store at The Victoria Quarter, Leeds, which is now full for the first time; an acquisition for Premier Inn at Kendal; a spate of lettings making The Galleries Retail Park, Washington, 85% let; three food store lettings to Sainsbury in Northumberland and being retained by Brookfield to advise on the retail redevelopment of a ten-acre site in Newcastle.
King Sturge In-House Retail team partner, Jonathan Newns, says: “This award demonstrates the quality, range and geographical coverage of our team and cements our position as the market leader following our winning of the Yorkshire Property Award in the same category earlier in the year.
The Leeds office of King Sturge is among the region’s largest independent firm of chartered surveyors and property consultants with 75 staff providing property agency and investment services throughout Yorkshire and Humber and North Derbyshire.
